"Bomb Took Three Limbs" (response)

Wow, I thought the beginning of this story was slightly intense!  As I continued to read it, I began to imagine how it may have been for Mr. Duley.  He is such a strong survivor and his commitment to staying alive is sincerely a  beautiful thing.  I enjoyed hearing that he was motivated to go back and photograph Afghan's civilians after his not-so-great experience there.  It is an inspiring story to see and realize how photography, or other forms of art, can influence a life.  Mr Duley's documentation photos after he returned to Afghan may have educated several people simply by viewing his photos.  I view this act extremely valuable.
